Sounds like you guys are having a great time! Hermano Tiburcios has been busy so we haven’t had a chance to challenge him to baptism yet… Sad. No, our area is small and we usually have appointments but yeah its basically door to door.

 

Yeah the food is still good. We’ve only eaten with members a couple times. We eat cereal and stuff in the morning and for lunch and dinner we eat at a comedor which is basically a house and a lody just cooks whatever and you get to choose. It’s kind of weird because they serve you on like little kid plates with like plastic cups and stuff. But it’s always good!

 

I already spoke in church once and it went fine. When I get a guitar I’ll probably play in church or something. My companion can kind of carry a tune but can’t sing that well. We do sing hymns in every lesson we teach. If you want to send a package send it to:

This week was good!

This week was good! I was kind of sick for a couple days, just super weak, diarrhea, a headache, and sore throat. No fun… But with some rest I’m back to good.

The chapels here are pretty small. No parking lots…because no one has cars, and there are big fences around all of them… barbed wire and all that. We had one of our investigators come to church with us. His name is Hermano Tiburcio. A big dude, older, retired military, but a great investigator!

We don’t have a piano in the chapel so I haven’t gotten to play yet! But one of our investigators has a guitar and I played and sang "Nearer My God To Thee" ( mas cerca dios de ti) in spanish and it was awesome. We are actually allowed to buy guitars too so y’all should send me some money or put some in my desert schools account so I can buy one:)

My companion is totally awesome. His name is elder Martinez. He’s from Durango Mexico, and we´re pretty much the same person and far as what music and things we like. He’s a great teacher and example for me. Everything is all good here and I love you!

Just Cruisin'

First Baptism YE YE YE YE YE

Great week here in El Salvador!! I had my first baptism! I baptized Julio on Thursday and it was awesome! I attached some pictures of the baptism and our house and some of me and stuff! Tell Chelsea to post them on my instagram :) We also went to San Salvador a couple times for immigration purposes for my companion! We got to eat at Wendy’s and it was fantastic!

 

The weather is pretty nice in my área! Not too hot and it rains a lot so it’s really humid! And if you were gonna send a package or a letter you would send it to the mission office! Our house is pretty cool! We have hot wáter in our shower which is awesome and we have a nice view from our balcony too! 

 

We write our email from this thing called a ciber which is basically a store with a bunch of computers! Now that I’ve answered all your questions I have some! Anything crazy been happening in the states? Did they ever find out who was behind the Boston bombing? How are the Powell kids doing? Tell them I’m gonna send them letters soon!

 

I love you guys a lot and I kinda do miss home, but I am trying really hard to not get homesick! I just gotta focus on the work! Love you lots!

Mission Split :-(

As far as the mission split goes, I won't be going to Belize. Now it's just the Santa Ana Mission, and then there will be the San Salvador West/Belize. Bummer... but I still want to go to Belize when we get back!

Buenos Dias from El Salvador!!!

HOLY COW I'M ON MY MISSSSSIIIIOOONNNNN!!! It's so crazy here! I want to write so much but I don't even know what to say! The people here are amazing, the food is fantastic, and my companion is awesome too! His name is Elder Martinez and he's from Mexico! There are some teenage kids here that skateboard and we've been teaching them and one of them, Julio Garcia, is getting baptized on Thursday!!!! There is this one Familia, The Valenzuela family, that are members and they are so awesome! They fed us dinner last night and it was so delicious! But talk about being humbled!!!! We've been teaching in shacks with dirt floors but I don't even notice anymore! I'm just focused on teaching!

 

Things are great here and I love it! I'm struggling a little because some of the people just don't listen and it's really hard sometimes but I'm trying hard to forget myself and go to work! I forgot my camera cord but I'll send pictures next week! My P-day is every Monday! I love you guys so much!!!
